Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and preventive care.
- Utilize advanced dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry procedures to optimize efficiency and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care using clear dental terminology.
- Document all procedures accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials in good standing.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix; experience with medical imaging equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures and work effectively in pediatric settings is preferred.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while maintaining professionalism.
