Patient Experience Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Patient Experience Coordinator to join our healthcare team. Duties

• Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Open Dental.
• Verify insurance coverage through insurance verification processes and coordinate billing using Dental coding standards like ADA codes
• Manage appointment scheduling with proficiency in Open Dental
• Review and update patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and explaining clinic policies
• Support front desk operations by answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and managing patient inquiries
• Collaborate with clinical staff to prepare care plans and facilitate effective communication between patients and providers
• Maintain organized Dental records, files, and documentation review processes to ensure data integrity and confidentiality

Skills

• Experience with Open Dental is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Dental terminology, , and Medicare guidelines
• Proven ability to handle Dental billing, insurance verification, and documentation review accurately
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
• Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred to understand healthcare workflows thoroughly
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence and office management experience
• Ability to navigate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
• Strong organizational skills for filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times
