Who we are: Our beautiful dental practices in Spring Valley, NY & Clifton and Paramus, NJ are seeking a caring, personable, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing organization. The applicant must be highly motivated, have solid communication skills and be a team player that can maintain a professional attitude at all times with both patients and staff and most importantly follow direction, work quickly on their feet and understand the "flow" of the office.
About the position: Full-time or part-time schedule with ability to work evenings and Saturdays/Sundays.

Responsibilities
- assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment; Provide consistent exceptional service
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Performing office tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including but not limited to, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery
- Set up and sanitation of exam rooms
- Ensure medical safety guidelines and procedures are met
- Ability to have flexible hours; maintain cleanliness of office throughout
- Ability to take direction from office manager & dentist
Qualifications
- Experience working in general dentistry (preferred)
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Certifications and licenses (Min X-Ray License with CDA preferred)
