Position Summary

The technician also serves as a key technical liaison to doctors, providing guidance, troubleshooting complex cases, and ensuring that implant solutions consistently meet high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluates incoming implant cases by analyzing impressions, scans, surgical reports and associated prescriptions to determine the optimal restorative path.
- Identifies specific implant brands and platforms, assesses component compatibility, and proactively determines if additional parts must be ordered to ensure the best clinical outcome.
- Serves as the technical liaison for doctors and oral surgeons, engaging in collaborative case planning to select the correct components and resolve potential complications before fabrication begins.
- Maintains meticulous case documentation, including legible call notes, accurate implant billing sheets, and precise updates to daily implant work.
- Maintains workflow efficiency to ensure all cases meet commitment dates and scheduling deadlines for both doctors and internal teams.
- Operates various software and digital platforms to process orders and completion documentation, demonstrating a high capacity for learning new technical systems.
- Participates in daily scrums and team meetings, providing technical insights, discussing customer feedback, and addressing case challenges.
- Facilitates clear, consistent communication between the laboratory, clinical offices, vendors, and internal team members to resolve technical queries and ensure transparency throughout the manufacturing process.
- Demonstrates continuous curiosity by staying current with evolving implant technology, applications, and material science to advance the lab’s technical capabilities.
- Monitors and manage inventory levels while coordinating with suppliers ordering needs.
- 5 years of direct experience in dental laboratory or clinical dental environment, with a heavy emphasis on implant-supported prosthetics.
- Extensive knowledge of various implant platforms, and multi-unit restorative systems
- CDT (Certified Dental Technician) in Implants or Crown & Bridge is preferred, or equivalent specialized training in implantology.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for dental professionals.
- Demonstrated history of identifying and resolving complex restorative issues under tight production timelines.
- Maintains a professional, solution-oriented demeanor when communicating with doctors, vendors, and internal team members, even under pressure.
- Takes responsibility for the success of cases.
- Approaches doctor relationships as a partner; proactively identifies potential issues before they reach the clinical chair.
- Exhibits an unwavering commitment to detail and consistency, ensuring that "good enough" is never the standard.
