Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations for both pediatric and adult patients
- Develop and present individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s clinical needs and comfort level
- Provide a wide range of general dentistry services, including preventive, restorative, endodontic, and minor surgical procedures
- Deliver compassionate, behavior-guided care to pediatric patients, fostering positive and comfortable dental experiences
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient records, scheduling, and treatment coordination
- Adhere strictly to infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate effectively with hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in continuing education and stay current with advancements in pediatric and general dentistry
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active and unrestricted state dental license
- Strong clinical foundation in general dentistry with interest or experience in pediatric care
- Comfortable treating children and adolescents, with excellent chairside manner
- Knowledge of dental terminology and proper clinical documentation practices
- Experience with four-handed dentistry preferred
- Familiarity with endodontic procedures is a plus
- Understanding of infection control standards and compliance regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with patients and families
- Ability to thrive in a productive, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
