What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Office Coordinator position at Dental Office?
We are excited to be hiring for a Front Office Coordinator in Raleigh, NC. Currently we are searching for an experienced, dedicated, compassionate, patient focused, and detail-oriented team member.

The current opening is a permanent full-time position, working approximately 32-36 hours per week. (Monday-Thursday) and some Friday’s as needed. Our Hours of operation are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients and teammates. It also requires excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will be required to uphold our standards around patient experience and customer service. Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be responsible, be a Team player as well as an outgoing personality and positive attitude.
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Answer phones
- Answer patient questions
- Confirm appointments
- Verify dental insurance benefits as needed
- Schedule patient appointments
- Proactively work to fill hygiene and operative appointment openings
- Check-in/ Check-Out patients
- Review treatment plans and financing options with patients.
- Process payments for patients.
- Perform other front desk functions
Our Front Office Coordinator is responsible for building relationships, being a Brand Ambassador for the practice, helping patients understand different treatment options and and removing the barriers of Fear, Finance and Lack of understanding to ensure each patient gets the care they need.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of two years of front office experience required, preferably in a dental setting.
- Proficiency with Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental software strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures
- Knowledge of insurance plans and claims processing
- Communication, problem analysis and problem solving skills
- Planning and organizing skills
- Judgement and decision-making skills
