Dental Assistant – Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our boutique-style private dental practice in Cliffside Park, NJ. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and helping ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently. - Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining proper aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols.
- Perform chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed for patient assessment.
- Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization and handling of dental instruments.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting with billing or coding processes related to dental procedures.
Schedule:
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Alternating Fridays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Alternating Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Qualifications:
- NJ X-Ray License required
- RDA certification preferred
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong work ethic
