Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Eaglesoft.
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all medical documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist dental professionals during procedures, including chairside assisting with instruments, dental x-ray imaging, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Take and process digital X-rays , ensuring proper image quality and safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting or as a dental assistant is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation (including X-ray machines), and sterilization procedures is required.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and healthcare safety standards.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking medical imaging (X-ray), and assisting with various dental procedures including oral surgery or prosthodontics.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or related training is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
