Duties
- Fabricate and assemble removable dental prosthetics using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and laboratory techniques.
- Prepare dental models with accurate measurements utilizing tools such as micrometers and other precision instruments.
- Assist in the design and modification of dental appliances based on detailed patient prescriptions and anatomical data.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records related to each case, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks on all fabricated models, verifying fit, function, and aesthetic standards before delivery.
- Collaborate closely with dental assistants, lab technicians, and clinicians to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all fabrication processes to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting or laboratory work within a dental office setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging relevant to removable prosthetics.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation purposes.
- Experience with dental fabrication techniques, including CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems.
- Ability to interpret medical records, medical coding, vital signs, and patient assessment data accurately.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and aseptic procedures in a clinical environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in using precise measurement tools like micrometers.
