Overview
We are seeking a professional, polished, and highly organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Dental Designs of Plantation. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, delivering a warm, welcoming, and elevated experience while ensuring smooth day-to-day front office operations.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment. Dental front desk experience is strongly preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and create a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently
- Confirm appointments, manage recalls, and follow up with patients for rebooking
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with treatment coordination
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (Dentrix preferred)
- Process payments and clearly explain financial policies to patients
- Handle data entry, filing, and document organization to support daily operations
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure an efficient and productive schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient support at all times
Skills
- Previous dental front desk experience preferred (1 year ideal)
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance (PPO experience is an asset)
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to handle patient interactions with professionalism and empathy
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
