Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Assistant who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving dental technologies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Scanning (or willing to learn) for invisalign/ restorative
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups
- can take intraoral x-rays
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry on various cosmetic, general, extractions and specialty procedures (endodontist and periodontist)
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Inventory management
- Willing to be cross-trained for front duties as secondary role
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant and open dental software familiarity preferred/ or we can train if coachable
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Well-organized and reliable
- X-ray license a must/ or willing to get it ASAP
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
