What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Dental Care?
- We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.- Prepare patients for dental work- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment- Take dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records-Be comfortable using computer and digital xrays as we are a paperless office-Do inventory of supplies and order weekly-Be able to provide a positive patient experience by professionalism and work ethic- Previous experience working in a dental clinic is preferred- Knowledge of Eaglesoft or Dentrix systems is a plus- Familiarity with medical records, infection control, HIPAA regulations, and medical coding- Understanding of dental terminology and anatomy.
