Dent Wizard – Job Description
Title: Wheel Remanufacturing Technician
Location: Overland, MO
Hourly Rate: $18 – $20
Employment Type: Full-Time

As a Wheel Remanufacturing Technician, you will work on-site at Dent Wizard’s wheel remanufacturing facility, restoring wheels to like-new condition. You’ll repair cosmetic damage such as curb rash, scrapes, gouges, oxidation, and bent wheels using spray-painting equipment, power tools, and other work aids. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Repair & Restoration (60%)
Inspect wheels for damage, cracks, bends, and other issues.
Disassemble wheels by removing tires, valve stems, and components.
Clean and prep wheel surfaces using sanding, grinding, and degreasing techniques.
Weld or straighten wheels to correct structural issues.
Apply filler and sand for smooth finishes.
Repaint or refinish wheels to match original or customer-specified appearance.
Balance wheels to ensure proper rotation and minimize vibration.
Reassemble wheels and components post-repair.
Quality Control & Service Excellence (20%)
Perform final quality checks to ensure safety and appearance standards.
Mix paint to specified colors using formulas or charts.
Operate CNC machines, tire changers, and wheel balancing equipment.
Subject Matter Expertise & Customer Interaction (20%)
Maintain accurate records of repairs and customer specifications.
Communicate with customers regarding repair options, estimates, and timelines.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in wheel refurbishing or automotive repair preferred.
Knowledge of wheel restoration techniques and tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Manual dexterity and proficiency with hand/power tools.
Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting of wheels (up to 65 lbs).
Standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
Work in well-ventilated shop environments or outdoors if mobile.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
