Description
We’re opening a brand-new Pigtails & Crewcuts and looking for a caring, patient, talented stylist to help lead the salon from day one. This role blends hands-on haircutting with team leadership and gives you the chance to build a supportive, family-centered culture in a values-driven, women-owned business.
You will:
- Help create a warm, calm environment for children and parents
- Support daily operations and help shape our new salon’s culture
- Enjoy predictable schedules and a positive, family-focused workplace
Key Responsibilities:
Styling and Customer Care: Provide high-quality children’s haircuts and styling, helping kids through fear, stress, or sensory challenges. Communicate openly and warmly with parents and resolve customer concerns with kindness and professionalism.
Leadership and Operations: Oversee daily salon flow, opening/closing procedures, and service quality. And ensure the salon is ready for business by restocking inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards. You may also be involved in marketing and social media operations for the salon.
Hiring and Team Support: Oversee a team of stylists, supporting and coaching team members, and managing schedules. You will also be directly involved in interviewing new team members and building a values-driven culture.
Qualifications
- Active Cosmetology or Barber License
- 5 years behind the chair (children’s cuts a plus)
- Leadership or shift lead experience preferred
- Patient, positive, and calm with children
- Reliable, team-oriented, and strong problem solver
- Passion for building a supportive, family-friendly environment
