Assistant Manager - Restaurant-Pizzeria

Must be a hands on Manager who leads by example. Pay will start at $16 per hour for training and will range up to $19 per hour based on training and experience. Must optain a serve safe certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and manage delivery functions to ensure smooth workflow and high standards.
• Assist with Supervising staff training, development, and performance to cultivate a motivated and efficient team.
• Oversee ordering of stock and make weekly orders as needed. Monitor waste to maintain optimal food availability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols to uphold health regulations and quality assurance.
• Coordinating schedules, supervising team members, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout each shift.

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Must have experience with New York Style hand stretched pizza.
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry.
• Expertise in managing and training staff on food handling, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead the team effectively and resolve customer and staff conflicts promptly.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, order accuracy and experience with budgeting is a plus.
