What you’ll do
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, providing recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Take accurate orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and daily specials to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
Basic qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, especially in fine dining settings.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy service periods.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
