Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support multiple restaurant locations in Ohio and Kentucky. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Address day-to-day maintenance requests from store managers
- Ensure all locations meet safety and operational standards
Equipment Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair restaurant equipment (grills, fryers, refrigeration, HVAC basics)
- Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs when needed
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules
Facility Upkeep
- Maintain building interior and exterior (lighting, flooring, restrooms, signage, etc.)
- Support compliance with health, safety, and Fire Marshal requirements
- Assist with bringing rooms/equipment back into service quickly
Reporting & Tracking
- Document completed work and pending issues
- Provide regular updates on maintenance activities
- Track parts, tools, and supply usage
Qualifications
- 2 years of maintenance or handyman experience (restaurant or hospitality preferred)
- Basic knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing
- Commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between locations required)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in restaurant or hotel maintenance
- HVAC certification (a plus, not required)
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- On-site across multiple restaurant locations
- May require evenings, weekends, or emergency calls
- Physical work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
