Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, using systems like OpenTable if applicable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety practices.
- Support guest relations by answering questions about menu items, dietary options, and restaurant policies.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy hours to ensure smooth service flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as serving, host/hostess, or bartender is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
