Dishwasher

SUMMARY

Wash dishes, bus tables, carry tubs of dirty dishes to dish station. Maintains adequate supply of clean dishes and ice. Responsible for all restaurant sanitation, on the inside and outside of restaurant. Assist server as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain overall sanitation of restaurant, inside and out.(Includes floors, mats, walls, rest rooms, roof and sidewalks)
• Keep dishes properly cleaned and stocked.
• Completes deep cleaning duties. (Scrub walls, clean walk-in cooler/freezer, scrub sidewalks, dumpster area)
• Bus tables as needed.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Must immediately inform management of any safety hazards, guest complaints and any other thing that would interfere with guest satisfaction/perception.
• Must complete all required side work, daily cleaning tasks, proper chemical handling/dilution and other duties in a safe and timely manner.
• Know and adhere to all company standards (such as dish separation, hourly rest room/parking lot checks) and policies.
• Keep dish station, racks and shelves clean and organized.
• Know how to disassemble dish machine and properly clean it.
• Keep all walls, floors and drains clean.
• Keep landscaping and parking lot clean.
• Be courteous and helpful to fellow employees and our guests.
• Seat and greet guests when needed.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Dinning room tables are cleaned and sanitized. Pots, pans, dishes, glassware, ice and utensils are maintained in adequate supply throughout shift. Front and back of house is clean, organized and stocked at all times to ensure timely customer service. Restaurant exterior is clean, neat and organized.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive standing without breaks
• Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 21/2 to 3 feet
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility
• Must be able to fit through openings 30” wide
• Must be able to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress
• Bending, reaching, walking
• Communicating with customers

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Must work well with others.
• Ability to move 30lbs.
• Job requires being on feet for extended periods of time, a lot of bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, wiping, and heavy lifting.
• Must work in extreme temperatures, (inside and outside) both hot and cold.
• Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate work area.
• Must practice safe work habits.
• Must be able to observe wares on equipment, facility and outside area to ensure health requirements are met.
• Must meet any state, county, or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
• Smile and present a professional image at all times.
• Must complete all video training, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training and comply with Denny’s nondiscrimination policies.
