We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care, working closely with the psychiatrist/supervising physician and other healthcare professionals. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient well-being through comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for treating utilizing their medical expertise and clinical skills to support our patients' mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' psychiatric conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines to manage various mental health disorders.
- Utilize E- Clinical Works EHR to document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
- Provide ongoing medical treatment and monitor patient responses to prescribed therapies, adjusting as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with psychiatrist and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication management, and therapeutic options.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of psychiatric treatments, medications, and best practices in mental health care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical treatment principles specific to psychiatric care.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation of mental health disorders.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to prescribe medications within the scope of practice and regulatory guidelines.

Pay: $45.00 - $62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
