ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plan engaging lessons utilizing the math curriculum.
- Utilize instructional methods and material aligned with curriculum goals.
- Evaluate and assess students using a variety of methods.
- Create a positive, inviting and safe learning environment.
- Develop, model and practice classroom procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the math department chair and school administration to proactively implement district/school policies and rules governing student life, conduct, behavior, and procedures.
- Communicate high expectations to all learners.
- Work actively to establish and maintain communication with parents/guardians concerning both academic and behavior progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all earners.
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Actively participate in department/staff meetings and school functions.
- Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
- Ability to run Window 98 Programs.
- Proficient in File management, word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in math or related field
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License
- Massachusetts Certification 8-12 or 9-12
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
