What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY Special Education Assistants (15) position at Dennis Yarmouth Regional School District?
LOCATION: DY Intermediate/Middle School or DY High School
DATES: July 6, 2026 through August 13, 2026
HOURS: Monday through Thursday, High School: 8:00AM - 12:30PM. PreK-7th grade: 8:30-11:30 AM. Location, hours and number of positions will be determined when enrollment is complete. Summer position only.
COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Working with Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 children who have significant disabilities including autism and complex medical needs.
- May be required to ride the school bus.
- Duties assigned by classroom teacher.
- Toileting and diaper changing may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Must meet the requirements of NCLB.
- Must possess an ability to work with students with a variety of disabilities.
- CPR training a plus.
