What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at Dennis Webb Electrical?
Scope of Work: The work consist of installation, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems within the construction industry.
Responsibilities: This position performs all electrical tasks with minimum supervision. This position requires on to able to read blueprints, terminate cable, install & trouble shoot control wiring from drawings. The position will also be required to do the following:
- Install buss feeders
- Wire and conduit sizing
- Transformer termination
- Motor termination
- Switchgear installation and termination
- Underground layout and rough-in
- Troubleshoot motors, controls, circuits, and equipment
- Supervise a small crew
- Layout and preparation for installation
- Install electrical systems
- Rigging and set-up for all operations
- Must have personal tools
- Must be able to work from ladders (step ladders up to 14'), "A" Frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
- Must be able to carry and relocate ladders up to 12' by themselves
- Must wear all required PPE
Working Conditions
Job requires working in all elements, all times of the year, and different temperatures
Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities
Must keep their personal tools with them at all times
Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas.
Perform work in restricted areas such as switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, and other area that are required to complete the assigned task.
Repetitive use of arms, hand, fingers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
