For over 30 years, Dennis Kenny Law has been dedicated exclusively to helping injured workers in New York and individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Reception/Administrative Assistant to join our team and help provide an exceptional experience for every client who contacts our office.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in an organized environment, and takes pride in making others feel welcome. As the first person our clients speak with or meet, you will play an important role in creating a positive first impression while helping keep our office running smoothly.
We are open to hiring either one full-time employee (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) or two part-time employees in a job-share arrangement that provides full office coverage.
Responsibilities
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally, courteously, and compassionately.
• Welcome clients and visitors to the office.
• Schedule appointments and assist with attorney calendars.
• Take detailed and accurate messages.
• Scan, file, and organize documents.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
• Support attorneys and staff with day-to-day office operations.
Qualifications
• Friendly, professional, and compassionate personality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable learning and using office technology and computer software.
• Prior experience in reception, customer service, administrative support, or a legal or medical office is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
