Role Description
The Structural Engineer will play a vital role in designing and reviewing structural elements for food and beverage facility projects in Springfield, MA. This on-site, full-time role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting structural calculations, preparing detailed designs, and overseeing construction processes to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with applicable codes. The engineer will also support project documentation, client interactions, and troubleshooting during the construction phase.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in structural design, analysis, and AutoCAD or similar design software
- Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and structural system principles
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus
- EIT certification required; PE licensure preferred
- Proven experience in structural engineering, preferably in industrial or commercial projects
- Ability to work on-site in Springfield, MA, and travel to project locations as needed
