Eligibility Requirements
Dennis’ 7 Dees is a family-owned and operated business with deep roots in the Portland area. Along with our retail gardening stores, we provide residential and commercial landscaping services throughout Oregon and southwest Washington.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a horticulture or landscape related 2- or 4-year degree program
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Have a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Must be on time and ready to work each day.
- Able to perform physically demanding work for long hours.
- Preemployment drug screening required.
- You’ll spend 1-2 weeks with each of our divisions below for a comprehensive, holistic introduction to the industry.
- Schedule is highly customizable to your areas of interest and the length of the internship.
- Residential Design/Build (2-3 weeks)
- Work in the field with a crew installing projects.
- Job shadow designers, sales, and project managers.
- Commercial Construction (1-2 weeks)
- Join a crew in the field on one of our commercial projects.
- Job shadow estimators and project managers.
- Landscape Maintenance (1-2 weeks)
- Work in the field to get firsthand landscape maintenance experience.
- Learn about water management in the field with our irrigation team.
- Enter a lush world of interior plants with our Urban Plantscapes team.
- Job shadow with one of our residential or commercial maintenance account managers.
- Garden Center (1-2 weeks)
- Learn the ins and outs of the retail garden center business at one of our 5 locations.
- Admin and Management (1-2 weeks)
- Peek behind the scenes at how our company is run with our accounting or procurement teams.
- Accepting applications for Spring/Summer 2026
- Internship duration is flexible; minimum length 6 weeks, maximum 16 weeks.
- You’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekends off.
- Daily schedule varies depending on tasks or teams assigned.
- This position is based out of our main office and landscaping headquarters in SE Portland.
- This is a paid internship offering a wage of $18 per hour.
