What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at DeNiel Foot and Ankle Center?
We are looking for a front desk staff for our practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and wants to contribute to the overall growth of the practice. One to two years of customer service, clinical and scheduling experience within the healthcare field is highly preferred.
The applicant should have great communication skills (bilingual in the Spanish and English languages are preferred).
They should have the ability to multitask and be a quick learner. Experience with AdvancedMD is preferred but not required.
Applicant is required to have effective interpersonal skills, ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise and have excellent organizational skills.
Applicant is to represent DeNiel Foot and Ankle Center in a professional manner related to appearance, communication and the maintenance of patient confidentiality.
Applicant has to have the ability to effectively incorporate the use of technology into day-to-day tasks (Google GMail, Microsoft Office Suite and AdvancedMD).
Perform accurate entry of patient registration and other data entry into AdvancedMD
Responsibilities:
- Greet, check-in, and schedule patients with a professional and compassionate demeanor.
- Answer and manage inbound and outbound calls to schedule appointments, route inquiries, and take messages using a multi-line telephone system.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect patient balances or set up payment plans.
- Perform accurate data entry for patient registration and scheduling using AdvancedMD.
- Assist in preparing patient medical records and forms to ensure availability for appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the reception area.
- Complete daily cash deposits, ensuring accurate balancing and forwarding to the Business Services Department.
- Follow standard clinic supply protocols to maintain front desk operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, management, and providers to address inquiries and clarify information.
- Available from 8:00am - 5:00pm; with a scheduled lunch Monday - Friday when clinic is open
Additional Requirements:
Ability to speak both English and Spanish is required
Must have a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Familiarity with AdvancedMD EHR is a plus

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Typical Working Conditions - Fast-paced office environment with consistent telephone and in-person contact with providers, co-workers, patients, and other external contacts
