A Day as a Denture Set-Up Technician
- Set up denture teeth (full and partial) according to prescription, bite registration, and articulation requirements
- Interpret work orders, lab slips, and clinical instructions accurately
- Establish proper occlusion, alignment, and esthetics in denture setups
- Perform wax setups and make necessary adjustments for function and appearance
- Collaborate with lab technicians, dentists, and supervisors to ensure case accuracy
- Maintain consistency with anatomical landmarks and functional design principles
- Inspect completed setups for quality, symmetry, and compliance with specifications
- Modify setups based on feedback or remakes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Follow all safety, infection control, and lab protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Dental laboratory experience preferred, especially in removable prosthetics
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and denture fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions and lab instructions
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
