El Operador de Equipo – Envolvedora/Conductor de Montacargas desempeña un papel fundamental en garantizar el manejo eficiente y seguro de materiales dentro de un entorno de almacén o producción. Este puesto es responsable de operar montacargas y equipos de envoltura para preparar productos para su envío, almacenamiento o procesamiento adicional. El rol requiere precisión y atención al detalle para mantener la integridad del producto y cumplir con los estándares de seguridad en el lugar de trabajo.
 El candidato seleccionado contribuirá al flujo eficiente de las operaciones cargando, descargando y asegurando materiales de acuerdo con los protocolos de la empresa. En última instancia, este puesto apoya la eficiencia operativa general y la satisfacción del cliente al garantizar un manejo oportuno y preciso de los productos.

Responsabilidades Clave:

• Operar el montacargas de manera segura y eficiente para mover, organizar y transportar materiales
 • Envolver productos terminados utilizando equipos de envoltura automáticos o manuales para garantizar la estabilidad de la carga
 • Levantar bolsas sueltas y colocarlas nuevamente sobre productos paletizados, reorganizar tarimas dañadas y asegurar el material envuelto
 • Verificar cantidades de producto, etiquetas y precisión del empaque antes del almacenamiento o envío
 • Colocar materiales envueltos en áreas designadas según el flujo de trabajo y los horarios de envío
 • Cargar y descargar materiales de camiones o líneas de producción según sea necesario
 • Realizar inspecciones diarias del montacargas y reportar cualquier problema de mantenimiento o seguridad
 • Mantener un área de trabajo limpia, organizada y segura
 • Cumplir con todos los procedimientos de seguridad, normas de OSHA y políticas de la empresa
 • Comunicarse eficaz con compañeros de equipo, supervisores y personal de envío/recepción
 • Ayudar con otras tareas en las bodegas   o producción según se asignen

Calificaciones y Requisitos:

• Diploma de escuela secundaria o GED preferido
 • Certificación válida para operar montacargas o capacidad para obtenerla
 • Experiencia previa en montacargas o almacén preferida (experiencia en envoltura es una aventaja)
 • Capacidad para operar un montacargas de manera segura en áreas estrechas o de alto tráfico
 • Habilidades básicas de matemáticas y documentación
 • Gran atención al detalle y enfoque en la seguridad
 • Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo

Requisitos Físicos:

• Capacidad para estar de pie, caminar, agacharse y levantar hasta 50 libras durante el turno
 • Capacidad para trabajar en bodegas o producción con temperaturas variables
 • Capacidad para operar equipos durante períodos prolongados

About the Role:

The Equipment Operator-Wrapper/Forklift Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials within a warehouse or production environment. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and wrapping equipment to prepare products for shipment, storage, or further processing. The role demands precision and attention to detail to maintain product integrity and workplace safety standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth flow of operations by loading, unloading, and securing materials according to company protocols. Ultimately, this position supports overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move, stage, and transport materials
• Wrap finished products using automated or manual wrapping equipment to ensure load stability
• Lifting unsecured bags back on palletized product, restacking damaged pallets, and capping wrapped material
• Verify product counts, labels, and packaging accuracy before storage or shipment
• Stage wrapped materials in designated areas according to workflow and shipping schedules
• Load and unload materials from trucks or production lines as needed
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and shipping/receiving staff
• Assist with other warehouse or production duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred (wrapper experience a plus)
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in tight or high-traffic areas
• Basic math and documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Ability to work in warehouse or production environments with varying temperatures
• Ability to operate equipment for extended periods
