Provide all state licensing requirements and consultative services to treatment foster parents. Provide training for treatment foster home placements, including all financials, placement agency licenses, and statistics. Provide administrative supervision to treatment foster parents.   

 

This position is responsible for observing policies, procedures and safeguards to protect the privacy of health information in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy (Privacy Rule). 

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  • Oversee the foster care licensing process, ensuring all foster homes and parents meet state and agency compliance standards. 

  • Assist with the screening of pre-application inquiries and support the licensing process in accordance with established state regulations and agency procedures. 

  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing consultation to foster parents regarding licensing requirements, agency expectations, and established foster care procedures. 

  • Monitor foster homes for compliance with state licensing standards and agency policies and report findings, concerns, or corrective needs to the Foster Care Director. 

  • Conduct on-site program assessments, process waiver requests, document findings, and formulate recommendations for license insurance, denial/revocation, or injunctive actions.  

  • Conduct or assist with complaint/allegation investigations, conduct monthly supervisory home visitsand provide post-licensing issuance consultation. 

  • Serve as a liaison between the agency, local department of child welfare, and advocacy/support groups. 

  • Serve as a resource person to licensed providers; and identify and facilitate use of other resources to upgrade performance of foster homes. 

  • Participate in preparing orientation packets and informational newsletters. 

  • Assist with the implementation of established foster care policies and procedures under the direction of the Foster Care Director. 

  • Provide quality assurance and approval of foster parent medical documentation. 

  • Maintain foster parent files to ensure compliance with licensing standards. 

  • Authenticate foster parent stipends for payment and oversee the coordination and documentation of foster care placements. 

  • Provide supervision to foster parents. 

  • Attend departmental meetings and trainings as assigned and participate in cross-team coordination related to foster care operations. 

  • Assist with the implementation of established foster care policies and procedures under the direction of the Foster Care Director. 

 

 

 

Other Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Interview potential foster parents. 

  • Conduct orientation and training for new foster parents. 

  • Maintain agency foster care placement license 

  • Attend and participate in meetings, committees and trainings as assigned.
