We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for our chefs. Duties

• Prepare and chop ingredients as per recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage practices.
• Collaborate with chefs to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Follow food safety guidelines and handle food products with care.
• Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
• Support the catering team during events by preparing food items as needed.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of ingredients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, particularly in roles related to food handling or meal preparation.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with menu planning and catering operations is a plus.
• A passion for cooking and the culinary arts, with a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
