Employment Opportunity – Assisting Instructor (NCO) JROTC Program
Reports to: Principal/CTE Director/Senior Instructor (SAI)
Location: Demopolis High School
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible members of society.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma required.
2. Must be a minimum military classification of E6, up to an E9
3. Must have associates degree or complete associates degree within the first five (5) years of employment.
4. Must provide prequalification letter from Headquarters stating they are eligible for JROTC employment.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Enroll students in the JROTC program and support school officials conducting these programs.
2. Develop, implement and coordinate a four-year program of instruction based on the JROTC curriculum, and Master Training Schedule published by the Director of Army Instruction.
3. Participates in JROTC summer camp, as required.
4. Engage in professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership.
5. Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state and federal rules and regulations.
6. Adheres to U.S. Army policies and regulations pertaining to operation of a JROTC program as outlined by U.S. Army Cadet Command, Second ROTC Region, and Fifth Brigade.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by administrators.
Physical requirements:
Employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Terms of employment:
Ten-month employee, in accordance with the Board approved salary schedule. Work schedule includes a 40-hour work week, with scheduled days and times up to the supervisor.
