Used Car Director – Ford (Cleveland, TX)
We are seeking an experienced Used Car Director to lead and expand our pre-owned vehicle operations. This is a high-impact role for a data-driven leader with a passion for retail pricing strategies, inventory management, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee used car reconditioning, pricing, and retail strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
- Directly manage the Used Car Manager and the sales team, ensuring strong leadership and accountability.
- Handle both retail and wholesale operations, maximizing profit opportunities.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies using vAuto, Profit Time, and market trends to drive volume and profitability.
- Manage inventory with a 60-day turn strategy, maintaining a 1:1 Used-to-New sales ratio.
- Grow used car volume from 25 units per month back to 45-55 and further to 100 units per month while maintaining strong margins.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Used Car Management, including retail pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with CDK, Eleads, and Route One.
- Experience managing large-volume used car operations.
- Auction experience is a bonus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Performance-based commission structure with an expected annual income of $100,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and success.
- Demo vehicle provided (fuel at employee's expense).
Leadership & Culture:
- We emphasize servant leadership, providing autonomy while maintaining a, data-driven approach.
- The dealership currently stocks 30-36 used vehicles, selling 20-25 per month, with plans for significant growth.
