Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• 1 years of experience as a delivery driver preferred, but not required
• Experience driving vans or trucks is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning
• Ability to work independently and maintain a reliable schedule
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus but not required for smaller vehicle routes

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver products to clients within assigned delivery routes
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit
• Operate delivery vehicles (vans, trucks) in compliance with all local, state, and federal driving regulations
• Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
• Verify orders before leaving the warehouse and upon delivery, ensuring accuracy in items and documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to provide updates on delivery status, address any issues, and ensure smooth handoffs
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure vehicles are in safe working condition
• Follow company protocols for delivery documentation, signatures, and receipt processing
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques
