Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 1 years of experience as a delivery driver preferred, but not required
- Experience driving vans or trucks is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning
- Ability to work independently and maintain a reliable schedule
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus but not required for smaller vehicle routes
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver products to clients within assigned delivery routes
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit
- Operate delivery vehicles (vans, trucks) in compliance with all local, state, and federal driving regulations
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Verify orders before leaving the warehouse and upon delivery, ensuring accuracy in items and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to provide updates on delivery status, address any issues, and ensure smooth handoffs
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure vehicles are in safe working condition
- Follow company protocols for delivery documentation, signatures, and receipt processing
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques
