What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Assistant position at Dementia Innovations, Inc./LIVASU?
Overview
Be part of something new while changing the culture of dementia care. LIVASU, a new nonprofit dementia village will be welcoming homeowners at the end of July. We are in need of 5 personal assistants who will rotate and provide 24/7 on site coverage for emergencies and security while meeting other care/household/village needs as well.
Responsibilities
- Monitor village property; respond to emergencies
- Meet homeowner needs both in terms of hands on care and social aspects
- Cooking and cleaning tasks likely
- Monitor onsite technology and security
Must have a willingness and passion to work with those with dementia. We will provide training to ensure understanding, best communication techniques and best approaches for supporting those with dementia but must first have the passion. Key requirements include: a willingness to work both individually and as a team, a good work ethic, professionalism and reliable. Together we will create the first dementia village in the US and create an incredible environment for those with dementia and their families!
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
