Department: Machining
Summary: Plans, sets up, and operates typical machine shop equipment and tools to machine raw steel and castings to print into usable parts for Demco products
Primary Duties:
- Sets up and operate machines to create parts to print
- Accurately use a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before and during production
- Ability to identify a problem and make adjustments accordingly
- Keep accurate counts on parts
- Be self motivated to meet order deadlines
- Communicate with employees in the department as well as with employees in other departments
- Performs other duties as required

Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented for accuracy
- Basic math skills for accuracy in part count
- Knowledge of speeds and feeds rates
- Knowledge of the trade
- Degree in Machining or experience preferred
Physical Job Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
- Bending from the waist – 40% of the time
- Lifting from waist level – 5 to 50lb requirement
- Above shoulder reach – Minimal
- Pinch/grip – 100% of the time
- Twisting – Minimal
- Standing – 100% of the time
- This position requires use of heavy equipment and an overhead crane.
