Tasks and Qualifications:
Software Engineer – R&D & Sustaining
This is What You Will Do in This Role:
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into scalable and robust AGV software solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and debug software for autonomous vehicle systems, including job sequencing, environmental perception, object detection, motion control, navigation, embedded I/O, graphical user interfaces, and safety systems.
- Take ownership of assigned software modules, ensuring quality, maintainability, and long-term support.
- Investigate software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable solutions.
- Develop and maintain software using Delphi and related tools and frameworks.
- Support software productization and deployment, working with execution teams to ensure successful software releases.
- Participate in software release cycles, including development, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Integrate new mechatronics technologies into the software stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new vehicle development and product improvements.
- Contribute to software development practices and processes that improve product quality, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in software development or a related role.
- Proficiency in Delphi or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, practices, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with multi-threaded and client-server software architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex software issues.
- Ability to develop software with a focus on long-term maintainability, product sustainability, and ease of future development and support.
- Experience working collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with AGVs, robotics, automation, material handling, or industrial systems is preferred.
- Experience with robotics, motion control, navigation, or real-time systems is preferred.
- Experience developing GUIs or working with industrial communication protocols is preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and tools such as JIRA and GitLab is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Salary : $108,000 - $138,000
