Full-Time or Part-Time (In-Office)
Location: Bay Area, California
We are a well-established law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal services, with a strong focus on real estate litigation. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team. This is an in-office position with flexibility for full-time or part-time employment, depending on experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support including legal research, case management, and document drafting.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings, including complaints, motions, stipulations, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
- Prepare discovery materials: organize, review, analyze, and summarize responses; draft subpoenas; respond to discovery requests.
- Support trial preparation: organize exhibits and case files, coordinate logistics, assist attorneys in court, and handle electronic presentation of exhibits.
- Manage attorney calendars, client appointments, and court scheduling
- Oversee office administration, including vendor coordination and supply management
- Prepare and issue client invoices; manage accounts receivable and cost tracking using legal billing software
- Maintain organized digital and physical legal files, court documents, and internal records
- Serve as a key point of contact for client communication and office coordination
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience in a law firm.
- Proven ability to independently draft legal documents, including motions and complaints.
- Proficiency with legal billing platforms (Clio, LawPay, or similar).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor, discretion, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Substantive experience supporting attorneys in real estate law and general litigation.
- Understanding of civil procedure.
- Comfort managing high-volume case files involving property-related disputes.
- Knowledge of court procedures and trial logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
