What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Civil Engineer position at Demarc?
Demarc is a growing Land Surveying and Engineering company with over 55 years serving the Twin Cities. We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer or Engineering Technician to join our team. We work with private entities to develop their residential or commercial site.
Duties:
- Prepare construction plans and documents for site development projects
- Design storm water systems and prepare Storm Water Management Plans for commercial and residential projects
- Prepare project specifications
- Create concept site plans for review.
- Complete calculations accurately to assist in design and verify requirements are met.
- Review government agency requirements for the project.
- Assist Surveying Department with Field and CAD tasks as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Detail oriented with good interpersonal and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology degree
- Proficiency and understanding of surveying terms and procedures
