The Opportunity

Demand.io is a profitable, founder-led consumer AI commerce player driving $1B in annual GMV. We are the team behind SimplyCodes (the #1 AI-powered savings tool) and Product.ai (emerging Axiomatic Intelligence shopping assistant).

We are seeking a Mobile Platform Architect to operate as the Strategic Technical Owner of our mobile domain. This is not a "Senior iOS Engineer" role. We are looking for a builder who can architect a unified mobile engine that spans both iOS and Android, leveraging AI-native workflows to handle the boilerplate so you can focus on the core engineering.

We are pivoting from standard "List View" applications to Real-World Sensing Infrastructure. We are building the "Transaction Interface" of our AI—a mobile endpoint that uses Geo-fencing, Apple Wallet/PassKit, and OS-level triggers to interact with the physical world. We need an architect who can build this greenfield engine from first principles, treating the mobile device as a sensor array, not just a screen.

What You Will Build

You will not be writing tickets for minor UI tweaks. You will be architecting the strategic engines of the company.

1. The Unified Mobile Engine: We are unifying the mobile stack. You will architect a high-performance, cross-platform strategy. Whether utilizing React Native, Flutter, or native bridges, you will define the Mobile Architecture Fundamentals for the enterprise, ensuring zero-latency performance and logic parity across 2M devices.
2. Real-World Sensing Infrastructure (The Wallet Strategy): You will engineer the "Digital Wallet" infrastructure—the critical bridge between our AI and the offline world. This involves complex state management around Geo-fencing, PassKit/Wallet API integration, and background location services. You are building a system that must wake up, detect context, and deliver value (coupons/data) in milliseconds without draining the user's battery.
3. AI-Native Mobile Workflows: You will integrate Deterministic AI Logic directly into the mobile form factor. You will work with our Backend Architects to pipe Structured Data Payloads from our Core Intelligence Platform directly to the device, ensuring the mobile experience is not just a dumb display, but a smart agent capable of local decision-making.

• You are a Cross-Platform Polyglot: You reject the "I only do iOS" limitation. You view the device as a computer, and you are comfortable working across the entire stack to solve the problem.
• You are a First-Principles Thinker: You do not just import libraries; you understand the underlying OS constraints (Memory, Threading, Radio usage). You build efficient, battery-aware systems.
• You are an Architect of Systems: You do not write spaghetti code. You design clean, modular architectures that allow for rapid iteration and "AI-Assisted" refactoring.
• You have High Agency: You do not wait for a Product Manager to write a Jira ticket. You look at the strategic goal ("Win the Wallet") and you define the technical roadmap to get there.

Compensation & Ownership

We operate as a high-performance studio, not a typical corporation. We share the upside directly with the builders.

• Base Salary: $280,000 – $400,000. We target the 80th percentile to attract 1-of-1 talent. Your base covers your life; your equity builds your freedom.
• Profit Participation (PIUs): You aren't just an employee; you are a partner. We grant Profits Interest Units (PIUs), giving you true ownership and a share of the company's operating profit.
