You'll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction while supporting the efficiency and accuracy of our operations.
What You'll Do In This Role, You Will
- Serve as a main contact for customers via phone and email, responding to inquiries on pricing, product availability, order status, and shipments
- Enter and process customer orders, quotes, and returns with a high level of accuracy
- Communicate proactively with customers on order updates, confirmations, and potential delays
- Support sales with quotes, proposals, and customer documentation
- Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Resolve routine customer issues and escalate more complex concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation in ERP/CRM systems
- Track open orders and follow through to completion
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, service levels, and team efficiency
- 3-5 years of customer service, administrative, or order processing experience (manufacturing or industrial experience preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, solutions-focused approach
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel); intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or CRM systems (Epicor or similar) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build positive relationships
- High school diploma required; associate degree or additional coursework preferred
