Our client is a global leader in semiconductor processing equipment, supporting some of the world’s most advanced foundries. With continued investment and growth across North America, the company is strengthening its US service organisation to ensure world-class support for key fab customers.
The Opportunity
This is a critical senior leadership role responsible for overseeing service operations and a geographically distributed team of field engineers and service managers across the United States.
You will be accountable for delivering exceptional tool uptime, outstanding customer satisfaction, and a highly engaged, high-performing service organisation in a fast-paced, customer-critical environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical credibility combined with authentic people leadership, someone who can connect with teams at all levels, inspire performance, and align regional execution with global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop service operations across the United States, ensuring alignment with global service strategy and standards.
- Manage, coach, and inspire a distributed, multi-site service organisation across key US semiconductor regions.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with fab managers and senior customer stakeholders at major accounts.
- Drive operational excellence, service quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and embed a recently established organisational structure, strengthening collaboration and consistency across regions.
- Provide clear direction, make confident decisions, and empower leaders and engineers to take ownership and accountability.
- Partner closely with global service leadership, product teams, engineering, and supply chain to resolve escalations and improve lifecycle performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 10 years’ experience in service operations or field service management within semiconductor capital equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, not just manage them, a leader who earns trust and motivates through presence and example.
- Strong customer-facing skills, with confidence engaging senior fab leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Technically credible, commercially aware, and capable of balancing performance, cost control, and people development.
- A decisive, proactive leader who brings ideas forward, takes initiative, and constructively challenges when appropriate.
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed, multi-site environment with diverse teams and personalities.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the United States.
