Position Summary
Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a Director of Engineering for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the engineering processes that support machining, assembly, inspection, and production operations. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Programming, and Production, you'll help ensure every new job is launched successfully while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
- Lead and develop a team of manufacturing/process engineers and engineering technicians
- Drive process improvements that improve quality, efficiency, and throughput
- Oversee manufacturing process documentation, work instructions, tooling, fixturing, and workflow development
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and resolve manufacturing challenges
- Champion standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the engineering organization
- Support quality initiatives, engineering change management, and regulatory compliance within a precision manufacturing environment
- Help identify opportunities for new technologies, automation, and process optimization that support long-term growth
- Progressive engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading engineers or technical teams
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixturing, and process development
- Experience supporting CNC machining, precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar standards
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred)
Benefits and Perks
