DeLuca’s Fine Jewelry & Gifts is looking for a friendly, motivated, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team!
As one of Covington’s longest-standing jewelry stores, we take pride in providing exceptional customer service, beautiful jewelry, unique gifts, and a welcoming shopping experience. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for customer service and enjoys working in a fun, fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
This position is much more than traditional retail sales! From helping customers find the perfect piece of jewelry or gift to creating beautiful displays, assisting with custom orders, and helping with daily store operations, every day brings something different.
Our ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, organized, computer savvy, and detail-oriented. We are especially looking for someone who takes initiative, stays productive, and recognizes what needs to be done without always being asked.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with customers.
- Assist customers with jewelry, gifts, and special purchases.
- Maintain attractive, organized, and creative merchandise displays.
- Assist with inventory, pricing, tagging, and restocking merchandise.
- Help coordinate jewelry repairs, engraving orders, and custom orders.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately.
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Take initiative and assist wherever needed throughout the store.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience required
- Jewelry sales experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Creative eye for merchandising and presentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and stay productive in a busy environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to learn about jewelry, merchandise, and store services.
Schedule & Availability
SATURDAY AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED.
Applicants must be available to work every Saturday. This is a mandatory requirement of the position.
Our store is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
