What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician - Security, Camera, and Fire Alarm position at Deltex Electric Inc.?
**Title:** Low Voltage Technician - Security, Camera, and Fire Alarm - $30-$40/hr - Buffalo NY
Deltex Electric is a family-owned electrical shop, 40 years in Buffalo. We install and service security systems, camera systems, and fire alarms in some of the nicest homes and buildings in Western New York.
The work: this is not a pull-cable-all-day job. You run service calls out of your own van, and you also walk jobs, design systems from blueprints, price the work, and then install what you designed.
What you get:
- $30-$40 an hour based on experience
- Your own work van and gas card
- Paid manufacturer training: we are a Mircom dealer and they run 8 classes a year in the area. We pay for you to go.
- Room to run the low-voltage side of the shop as you grow into it
- A small crew where the owner knows your name
What we need:
- At least 2 years of paid low voltage experience: security, camera, or fire alarm systems on any manufacturer. We train on Mircom.
- You can look at a set of blueprints and design the system, or you are close and want to learn
- Customers hand you the credentials to their security systems. You have to be the kind of person they can trust with that: background check and drug test required.
- Valid driver's license
How to apply: go to https://app.qualifiedhires.com/careers/deltex-electric-inc and fill out the short application on your phone. A few screening questions, then a 15 minute phone call with Steve at a time you pick. No resume needed. Mention the word Mountain when you talk to Steve so we know you read the whole post.
