Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and bussing of dining areas during busy service times
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to uphold a pristine environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations
- Basic understanding of food preparation or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
