Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes from Saturday to Wednesday
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers professionally and addressing their delivery needs or questions
- Follow route instructions precisely, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions to maintain schedule integrity
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, reports, and documentation for each route completed
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background preferred, especially with route driving in busy environments
- Warehouse experience including load & unload operations, heavy lifting, moving items safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and the operation of box trucks with manual transmissions
- Experience using forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus for handling shipments efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly throughout the shift and perform physical tasks involving moving items safely
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving
