Analyst, Tax Accounting

Job Summary/Purpose

The Tax Accounting Analyst supports the Company’s tax accounting and compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions. This position assists with the preparation, accrual, reporting, and payment of various state and local tax obligations while ensuring compliance with applicable statutes and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepare and record tax accruals and supporting workpapers.
• Prepare state and local tax filings, including sales and use tax.
• Support property tax reporting and compliance activities.
• Assist with tax audits and information requests.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts and support close processes.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain compliance documentation.
• Support process improvements and internal controls. Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
  

Minimum Experience Required Of The Position

• 1–3 years of accounting, tax, or related experience.
  
  

Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred Of The Position

• Strong accounting and reconciliation knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• ERP experience
• Preferred:
• Utility or regulated industry experience
• Exposure to SALT taxes
• ERP experience
  

Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc. Required For The Position

• CPA or progress toward certification, preferred.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
• Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
