JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The EHS & Compliance Data Analyst supports the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Pipeline Safety Compliance, Operator Qualifications, and Technical Training functions through data analysis, reporting, and record management.
This role focuses on collecting, organizing, validating, and reporting safety and compliance data to support regulatory requirements and internal performance metrics. The Analyst works collaboratively with department leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and effective communication of performance information.
This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for data integrity and reporting support.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collect, validate, and maintain EHS, compliance, and training-related data in company systems and databases
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EHS performance, pipeline safety compliance, operator qualifications, technical training, and federal motor carrier safety compliance
- Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Excel
- Review data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
- Maintain required EHS and compliance records, including incident reports, audit and inspection documentation, OSHA 300/300A/301 logs, drug and alcohol testing documentation, driver qualification records, and motor vehicle records (MVR) monitoring records
- Support documentation and record preparation for regulatory agency reporting and audits
- Assist with tracking regulatory deadlines and reporting schedules
- Support administration of the company’s Incident Management System (IMS) by entering, maintaining, and validating data
- Assist with continuous improvement of data collection and reporting processes
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Provide data extracts and summaries as requested by leadership
- Assist in preparing safety alerts, internal communications, and training materials
- Contribute data and visuals for presentations to leadership and operational teams
- Provide analytical and administrative support to EHS, compliance, operator qualifications, and technical training functions as assigned
- Perform additional responsibilities to support department objectives
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum experience required of the position
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, compliance support, or related field
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred of the position
- Experience working with databases or incident management systems
- Experience with Riskonnect
- Experience supporting EHS, compliance, or regulated industry functions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop basic metrics, reports, and dashboards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills

- Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
