About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Shop Assistant to support the daily operations of our sign production and installation team. This position is hands-on and will involve a mix of shop work, assisting with installations, and general support tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of signs (vinyl, banners, vehicle graphics, etc.)
- Operate basic shop tools and equipment (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist installation team on-site when needed (some lifting and ladder work required)
- Help with inventory, materials, and general shop tasks
- Follow instructions and complete tasks on time with attention to detail
- Making highway/street signs
- Custom sign fabrication & assembly (channel letters, metal signs, etc.)
- Digital printing and finishing
- Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent design software)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working with tools
- Ability to read and follow directions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Previous experience in a sign shop, print shop, or general labor role is a plus (but not required)
